They did rehearsals 5 times. MCD doesn’t let fans in during rehearsals, but when I counted from outside, it was 5 times.
They said they ‘let’s have a clean finish and do it one take’ for the recording, but they did it twice. If you count how they had to pause at the very beginning because there was something wrong for Taeyeon, then it was twice and a little more.
They came on stage, greeting [us] cheerfully. With the heart of a rookie. Hop hop.
As soon as they got on stage, Sunny and Hyoyeon played a clapping game. They were doing ‘bandal’ (kind of like patty cake?), and they both put their hands at the bottom, so fail. They did it again, and they failed because their timing was off. After that, during their third attempt, Hyoyeon acted like she was hitting from the side so they started laughing. Sunny asked how she should return her [Hyoyeon’s] action, Hyoyeon showed her, and they kept doing that and played.
There must have been something wrong with the back of Jessica’s pants because she held them where he hip is, slanted her eyebrows, and said something. Then Tiffany asked what was wrong and went to check on her. When Jessica explained that there was something wrong with her pants, Tiffany stood behind her, holding onto the pants waist[band], trying to fix it for her. When they couldn’t fix it, they ended up going to the coordi unnie.
Tiffany said they had to do ‘right now is Girls’ Generation’ so to gather their hands, but Jessica went to the coordi unnie. Jessica was taking too long, so they said to just do it as if she were there. But Seohyun hurriedly ran to where Jessica was, waved her hands calling out, “Sica unnie! Sica unnie!” and extended her hand out. Jessica stuck her hand out and did ‘right now is Girls’ Generation’ from a distance. Seohyun had both her arms out, one with the other unnies, and one towards Jessica’s hand.
After recording once, they were all tired, and, as soon as it was over, Taeyeon, Tiffany and Yoona sat on the floor. They sat cross-legged, extending their arms out asking for water. They were trying to catch their breath while drinking their water, and they were really cute, I felt bad for them, and cool/great.
Yoona said it’s too hot and that she wants to perform with her jacket off.
At first, Taeyeon said something was wrong and made a X with her hands to stop the recording. Everyone saw that and stopped, but Seohyun was still doing it diligently and even sang her own part. She did it until the music stopped, so the unnies didn’t stop her and just watched. They looked at her with a “What is she doing right now?”-like expression, looking at the fans while pointing at Seohyun.
It stopped when she was doing the ‘she became so pretty and sexy, it’s because of that guy right’ part, right when she was doing the gesture with both hands at the ‘that guy’ part. Seohyun got embarrassed, and Tiffany and Sunny started teasing her, imitating her. Seohyun flapped her hands at them, telling them stop.
Tiffany imitated another one of Seohyun’s gestures, where she moves to the side while having both hands under her chin. Saying ‘You do it like this’. Then Seohyun said, “I do not! When did I do it like that!” Then Tiffany said, “No, you do it like this,” and kept doing it, teasing her. As well as the ‘It’s because of that guy, right?’ part. Then„ Seohyun stated in a determined way that she wasn’t going to do that anymore, and she changed her gesture during the next recording.
Tiffany suddenly started imitating Yuri, too. She went, ‘Yuri Yuri!’, and imitated the ‘Why did she do that~’ part, saying this is how Yuri does it. And so the girls burst out laughing, and Yuri went, “Heey!!” and told her to stop. Then Jessica said, “No, Yuri does this!” and imitated a different part. Tiffany said that’s the second one, and what she did was the first one, and kept doing the ‘why did she do that~’ part.
Tiffany then started imitating Jessica, the ‘let’s bring it back to 140’ part. Tiffany imitated the hand gesture, pose, and even the wink. She said she was imitating Jessica, and half-closed her eyes and slightly winked. Yuri and Seohyun at the side also followed along. Then, Jessica acted like she was doing a high kick at them. Her kick reached up to her (or their) head(s). Jessica then asked, “Do you know why I do it like that?”, and did the 40 gesture. She said she was using 4 fingers because it’s 40. Then Seohyun and Tiffany said, “We know!”, they kept saying “We know!”. Then, they went to their own positions when they were told to standby, and Jessica kept doing the 40 pose by herself, dwelling on it.
During the first recording, glitter/confetti special effects exploded, and after the recording was over, Seohyun said it all fell on the fans’ heads and that it looks cute.
Sooyoung asked, “Did you pull an all-nighter?” She said she heard that they couldn’t go to Hanbam because they had to go to MCD. The fans said no, they didn’t have to pull an all-nighter. Her eyes got round and said, “You didn’t?” She then said, “Someone said they weren’t coming to Hanbam because of MCD! Who was it!” and scanned the audience/fans. Because of what she heard, she said she was really worried, thinking the fan didn’t get any sleep.
TIffany said she was hungry, so Seohyun, who was next to her, said, “Let’s hurry and finish and eat!”
Before starting the recording, Taeyeon was fixing Seohyun’s hair. The two were talking about something, and suddenly had to start.
Taeyeon asked the fans, “Aren’t you hot?” and it must have really been hot inside the studio because they all said it is. Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun all sang the ‘oh! oh oh yeah oh!’ part live (without mics). Their voices were loud and resonated. Taeyeon started first, then Tiffany started doing it, and Seohyun started harmonizing. Then, they did the ‘You’re crazy, crazy!’ part while pointing at the fans. Tiffany then said that the fans are good at singing live. She complimented fans saying they sing along during that part well.
In the middle of recording, Seohyun’s in-ear receiver fell, and her in-ear fell out, too. When it was over, she was explaining and reenacting it to Yuri, saying it fell and that she had to hold it. Reenacting queen, Seo Juhyun.
Their manager came up to Sunny, saying her hair was disheveled and tried fixing it for her, but Sunny said, “Things like this is what makes it seem live!” and told the manager it was okay.
When the song was over, they were all gasping for air, saying, “Aigo, my heart,” and, “Aigo, my stomach,” and they looked like they were having a hard time.
“Ayo MCD!” was mentioned, and then it was asked if they have to do “Ayo KBS!”, or “Ayo MuBank!” at Music Bank, and Sooyoung said it’s making her fingers curl.
When the recording was over, and they got the OK sign, they looked over at the fans and said they goodbyes to everyone, saying, “See you tomorrow~” and, “Thank you for coming!” and walked down, off stage. It took them a long time walking down because they were busy saying their goodbyes.
++) Tiffany was sitting on the floor, and she hit the floor saying ‘ready’, and imitated a Native American. Taeyeon also stomped her feet to the beat. It seems like that’s something they have fun doing these days, they keep imitating them.
