Girls' Generation "Beep Beep" Music Video Premieres On Friday: Will The Girls Be Able To Match The Massive Success Of 'Gee'?

Girls' Generation will release a music video for their song "Beep Beep" on Friday.

Girls' Generation will release a music video for their song "Beep Beep" on Friday.

"Tomorrow!! Beep! Beep!" Girls' Generation leader Taeyeon wrote to her over 72,000 Instagram followers next to a photo of the singer flipping her hair back.

News of the "Beep Beep" music video's release was also confirmed by Universal Music Japan, according to allkpop.

The "Beep Beep" video arrives in the wake of Monday's announcement that the Girls' Generations song "Gee" had surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, leading to the inevitable question of whether the Girls can top the juggernaut success of the video.

Before Psy's "Gangnam Style" broke the record for the most-watched viral video in Internet history, "Girls' Generation's "Gee" was the most watched K-pop song in history, according to Popdust.

The group's last video "I Got a Boy," has received 50 million views since being released in January.

On Wednesday, producers of the MBC TV program "Music Core" announced that Girls' Generation bandmates Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun are stepping down from their hosting duties on the program due to an increasingly hectic touring schedule.

The three singers have a side project called Girls' Generation-TaeTiSeo or Girls' Generation TTS.

"Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun will relinquish their hosting duties with 'Music Core,'" the show's producer's told the Korea Star Daily. "We haven't decided on their replacements as yet."

"The April 13th episode will be the last time where they will appear as hosts," The producers added. "The reason for their departure is mainly because of their busy schedules."

"Music Core" has planned a major revamp in mid-April, adding a rating system for the first time since January of 2006.

Girls' Generation's fearless leader Taeyeon has been receiving both critical praise and commercial success for her solo hit " And One" created for popular Korean drama, "The Winter, The Wind Blows."

The song reached number one the K-Pop Hot 100 last week.
"The track opens with the Girls' Generation leader showcasing a softer side of her vocals backed by a classical piano and strings," writes Billboard Magazine.

"Percussion is soon added to the mix, but the track sees Taeyeon's powerhouse vocals restrained for a majority, letting the lyrics of pained love be the focus. A highlight of the ballad does come in the bridge when she lets it rip and gives a single powerful belt."
